In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages.
